After spending his childhood in Oslo, Norway, style guru Paul Lowe developed tastes and interests shaped by the vibrant nordic aesthetic, utilizing bold colors, clean lines and innovative designs in everyday life. Raised by his great aunt and his grandmother, “Mormor,” Paul took an early interest in crafting, cooking and decorating. His grandmother’s motto, “Fullkommenhet er kjedelig,” or, “Perfection is boring,” has been a guiding principle in his work.
Before launching Sweet Paul Magazine in 2010, Paul worked in New York City as a craft and food stylist, developing a blog in his spare time to document his cooking and craft projects. When high-profile brands and magazines started to acknowledge his tastemaker potential, he expanded into print media, pioneering a quarterly publication produced in Brooklyn, New York, that reaches thousands of readers.
